the journey: As a book club, Broke Bibliophiles-Chennai already arrived with an appetite for the written word. Driven by a commitment to viewing the world through the wisdom drawn from their reading, the group came together to reflect deeply on a curated set of short stories and explored pathways to bring this wisdom to life in the real world. Through short stories followed by activities meant to catalyze reflective thinking, this workshop brought participants to think about themes like gender justice, casteism, racism, colonization, privilege, power, and intersectionality. The short stories were drawn from One World and Sorry, Best Friend! by Tulika Books, and the event took place at The Backyard, Chennai.
